Komazawa University Library owns over 110,000 materials related to Buddhism, including some 36 thousand Zen documents. We carefully selected 202 rare manuscripts and printed books, comprising 195 Zen documents, 『明版大蔵経』, 『百万等陀羅尼』 and 5 scriptures relevant to the Zen Buddhism. Plates (pictoral cut) at the title and the end, also the bibliographical information is contained here. Zen documents are classified and arranged for the sake of convienience; 1. Soto school in Japan: Dogen, Keizan, etc., 2. Chinese schools of Zen, 3. Rinzai and Obaku schools. Also the bibliographical information is described as follows; Title, Author or editor (dates of birth and death), date of publication, publisher/copyist (scribe), volumes/numbers, size, notes (other titles, previous owners, etc.). Title indices which cover other titles is added to the end of the book.
